Enrique Bascón

Was born in 1972 in Cruces, Barakaldo, Spain. From a young age, he was attracted to drawing and painting, but it wasn’t until 2002 when he fully immersed himself in art by enrolling in the Fine Arts program at UPV, University of the Basque Country. After completing three years of study, he received a scholarship to study at the University of Barcelona. However, three months later, while studying in Barcelona, he decided to reject the scholarship and embark on a bohemian backpacking journey around the world, which lasted three years and definitively solidified the figurative model of his painting. “The face is a map of the human being, of their history; in its imperfections lies time, beauty, judgment, and the gaze, a window into the depths.” Living in Costa Rica, he moved to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in 2005, where he currently resides. After working with other galleries, he decided to open his own gallery where he exclusively exhibits his work.
